I tell stories with sketches, photographs and, of course, with words.
Although I can tell a story about pretty much anything, many of my projects have been around social issues or urban renewal.
Most satisfying is being able to give voice to those who are infrequently heard: asylum seekers, recovering addicts, those on low incomes.
I like my writing to be clear, to the point. Often I’ll put myself in the story, acting as a link between the subject and the audience. That style works well and my blogs have won several awards.
Drawing is older then the alphabet itself and remains a powerful way of telling stories. Sketching is the most recent addition to my storytelling repertoire and one that fits many situations. People engage with the process of drawing.
