East Manchester 2004 –
Since 2004 Len Grant has been commissioned by New East Manchester and New Deal for Communities to follow the massive regeneration project to the east of the city.
As part of this commission he produces a high quality, large format magazine, entitled East, which, with articles from local writers, features different aspects of the regeneration process. Already East has followed the construction of the B of the Bang sculpture, examined how Manchester City’s arrival at Sportcity has boosted the local economy and investigated the wealth of architectural talent that has invaded New Islington and Ancoats.
