“I’ve known Agnes from the very beginning of my time documenting New Islington. Then it was still called the Cardroom Estate and Agnes always had lots to say about the estate when it was a nice place to live.
She always welcomes visitors and I’ve called on Agnes many times over the last few years. Over a cup of tea, she’s recounted her experiences of regeneration: discussing plans for her new bungalow with the architects or deciding what furniture to buy for the move.
The process has been difficult for Agnes but she’s got through it with good humour. This film gives a glimpse of her New Islington.”
