The Lowry 1997-2000

It was the mid 90s and National Lottery cash was flowing for the construction of landmark cultural buildings across the country, all to be ready by the new millennium. At Salford Quays it was The Lowry, an impressive waterside arts centre designed by Michael Wilford and Partners.

As well as the physical construction I also documented the behind the scenes activities: architects at work, steelworkers in their factories, and graphic designers turning out logo ideas.
